Scholarships & Fellowships

These prestigious awards significantly enrich the educational and life experiences of the recipient. Interested Wittenberg students are encouraged to consider these options. To assist students in completing the award applications accurately and efficiently, short descriptions of the awards are listed below. Each description contains the type of award, eligibility of the applicant, and summary of the award. For more information on each award click on the title of that award.

Before applying, students should consider that most of these awards require the student to exemplify a combination of:

  1. An excellent academic record
  2. Exceptional writing and researching skills
  3. Superior oral presentation capabilities
  4. Leadership in non-academic areas i.e. community service and/or campus life
  5. A detailed research or study proposal
  6. In-depth letters of reference

Title of Award:
Type of Award: Undergraduate Scholarship
Eligibility: US citizens, permanent residents who will be juniors or seniors in upcoming academic year
Summary: Planning advanced study in mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering

Type of Award: Undergraduate Scholarship
Eligibility: Sophomores and juniors, minimum 3.0 GPA
Summary: Study environmental issues, extracurriculars, community involvement, work experience

Title of Award:
Type of Award: Undergraduate & Graduate Study Abroad
Eligibility: Must have at least 2 years of higher education before study abroad begins
Summary: Study in a foreign country, must have proficiency in the language

Type of Award: Undergraduate Summer Research
Eligibility: Sophomores, juniors
Summary: Research with faculty members to create written work, exhibition, public presentation

Title of Award:
Type of Award: Undergraduate Summer Research
Eligibility: US citizens, permanent residents, sophomores, juniors
Summary: Work with a team and faculty member of the host schools faculty on a specific research project

Type of Award: Graduate Scholarship
Eligibility: US citizens, permanent resident, minimum 3.5 GPA, must apply during Junior year for graduate study
Summary: Interested in pursuing career in government or public service

Eligibility: Recent college graduates
Summary: Any graduate program at any accredited institution for maximum of six years
