Hi everyone back home! I miss you all so much! Today was a great day! We woke up and had a delicious breakfast then had our last language lesson with Loreta, which was really sad, but she is the best and taught us so much! I can鈥檛 wait to show you everything I have learned.
After language lessons we went up to the clinic. Today was their day for doing children vaccinations. So, we got there and talked to some of the staff about what we were going to be doing and started to set up for the day. Since most of the women and children walk it takes some time for them to get to the clinic, so we didn鈥檛 really start until about 10 am. Once the mothers started arriving, they would come in and we would weigh the baby. They don鈥檛 use a normal scale to weigh the children, they use a diaper like thing with a strap over it then hang them on a hanging scale. It was really cool to see how all the mothers just know how to come in and put their kid in the diaper thing and to bring them to us to weigh them. After they were weighed and measured, they sat back down then Natalie and Kylah had to put all their info from their book into this big book. Then once they finished Sofia, Mack, Emily, Hannah, and I did the vaccines on the babies one at a time. The mom would bring the baby up then some of us would pull up the medication and the others would do the injections. It was really interesting to see the types of vaccines they do and how they give them to the children. We were at the clinic for about 3 and a half hours and learned so much! We went back and had a delicious lunch then we had some time to ourselves. Sofia, Mack, Emily, Hannah, and I decided to go on a run walk which was really fun! Then we all gathered the donations we brought and loaded them into the van and drove them down to the community center. After we organized all the donations at the community center, we got to hang out with all the kids for about 2 hours. Tonight, we had to say bye to all of our friends which was very sad and really hard to do. It was so amazing to get to know the kids and learn so much from them I will remember all of them forever. We just finished a delicious 米兰体育 and now just getting ready to go to Maseru tomorrow morning. Can鈥檛 wait to see you all soon!

Hey everyone back at home!
Today was probably one of my favorite days so far on the trip! It was a very fun but also a little sad. We started our day off with a wonderful breakfast then had our last language lesson with Loreta it was bittersweet. She has taught us so much and it was a really good way to start our mornings I鈥檓 definitely going to miss her and all the baked goodies she brought for us. After language lessons we headed to the clinic. I started my day off in the pharmacy, so I was labeling and sorting medications. It was a super satisfying and calming way to start my morning I enjoyed the process a lot. Because the clinic is pretty small, we took turns doing different jobs. Close to 10am Jayla switched me out of pharmacy duties. So I went to the back room where we started taking babies weights and heights. It was children under 5 today. So there was maybe 20 mothers and babies ready for their check up and ready for their vaccinations. Maddy, Hannah and I were on the scale in the back of the room where like Maddy said above we place the baby into this blue dipper that has strings on the side so we can hold the baby up on this hanging scale to measure the babies weight. It鈥檚 easier to weight the bigger babies on this type of scale because the traditional baby scale can be too small for some. After taking the babies weight and height, we gave the patients book to Natalie. Natalie was an angel for charting on the big book for everyone. After all the information was charted, we started pulling up vaccinations and we took turns giving injections. It was interesting to one communicate through a language barrier and two to see all the different vaccinations they give the babies. One that I thought was interesting was they give newborns a inter dermal injection. We finished up doing all the vaccinations and then we headed back for lunch! We had cheeseburger and fries again!! After lunch Emily, Hannah, Mack, Maddy and I went for a run before we had to head to the community center. We all went through our donation clothes and packed the van to head to the community center. When we arrived, the kids were so happy to see all of us. Some of them even helped up carry the donations to the room. We played with the kids for a couple hours then had to head back to the lodge before it got dark. Saying goodbye was hard. Many people started to cry and there were many hugs that lasted for minutes. Saying goodbye to Maseabata was hard. She was my friend since day one. I gave her a letter today and she started tearing up. When it was time to leave, she held on to me for probably a good 4 minutes and she kept asking when I would be back next. Maddy and I left a couple minutes before some others in our group because we had to pack our bags. I heard from the rest who stayed back that my friend was sad and was crying a lot. It makes me sad to leave because all the people of Ha Ramabanta are so incredibly sweet. This place will forever have a piece of my heart and all the friends I鈥檝e made here I will cherish. Love you all see everyone so soon!
